Design Insight - DIAMOND Collection
The name has less to do with the gemstone than with a design peculiarity. All cultures around the globe have one thing in common: when emerging, the diamond shape appears as a decorative element. It seems that only a specialization of social activities allows ornaments to reach the complexity for the rhomb-shape to evolve.
The DIAMOND Collection pays tribute to this phenomenon in a loosely connected way: it explores asymmetrical and sculptural graphics around the rhomb shape and plays with the arrangements of elements. An interesting aspect is the combination between the brilliance of the gemstones and reflections of the inclined metal surfaces – they seem so different yet appear so similar.
